Abstract Translation philosophy has played a key role in understanding thoughts and is a tool for effective communication in unfamiliar languages. Language translations serve as intermediaries between the source and the target language text. Without translation services, effective international relations would not be possible. The philosophy of translation helps build bridges across cultures, enabling individuals to experience and learn about cultural diversities that would otherwise be too alien and inaccessible to grasp through a single cultural lens. Language translation (LT) is the manual or electronic conversion of a source language text to exactly match the target language text using signs and symbols. It is challenged by insufficient professional teachers or translators; it is cumbersome, wastes a lot of time, and does many other things. The gaps in traditional language translation have led to the embracement of web translation with the implication of its
originality. Using the method of hermeneutics, the paper maintains that traditional and weblanguage translations are affected by the indeterminacy of meaning and the inscrutability of reference. The study concludes with suggestions for the implementation of language proficiency
in translation by policymakers, both in oral and written communication through synthetic
language translation. Synthetic translation involves integrating two or more pre-existing elements or translations to create the targeted text from a source text that would be epistemologically infallible.

Abstract The question of death is enigmatic in African metaphysical discourse. Many
people fear the mention of death while some others accept it as a necessary
end. Death however, is the end of that which is and since nothing lasts
forever in this material world, it follows therefore that death is part of life.
Many African authors tend to see man (the human person) as a being unto
death. This means that man is born to die and he dies in order to live. This
paper submitted that death is a necessary end for everything that is in this
physical or material world. It is equally an extension of life because as one
dies in this physical world he is born (transits) into the world beyond.
People should live positively facing death squarely whenever it comes.

Abstract Organ transplantation is a life-saving treatment for patients with organ failure. The need for organ transplantation has been increasing daily but the numbers of patients who need organs far exceed the supply. The rationale for the non-availability of organs is due to the belief in reincarnation among Nigerian citizens. Reincarnation is a religious belief both in Asia and Africa that humans are reborn as human beings or animals, depending on their previous lifestyle. Reincarnation is also the belief that the human soul or spirit reincarnates after death, to begin another life in a new body, either in human form or in animals, depending on the moral actions of the previous life. This belief affected organ supply in Nigeria because of thinking about what could happen to their organs after rebirth. Using the method of philosophical analysis, this study suggests the implementation of cultural hybridization by policymakers for the expansion of the organ donation pool. Hybridization is a strategy of synthesizing and accepting new ideologies or cultural differences aimed at producing a new identity for the common good of humanity. Cultural hybridization is plausible through the reorientation of potential organ donors to register for the expansion of the organ donation pool.

Abstract Sustainable development has always been the craving of all societies and
communities. There is no society or community anywhere in the world that
does not crave and hope for development that is both sustainable and enduring. Thus, Nigeria as a nation has over the years craved and hoped for
sustainable development. This development cravings cut across the social strata of the Nigerian society ranging from food, road, rural infrastructure to socio-economic and even political strata. It is the view of this write up that religion could be a very potent means through which sustainable development in Nigeria could be achieved. This is given credence to by the development roles of religion in any society. If religion (its tenets, belief system and practices) is applied positively to the Nigerian developmental cravings sustainable development would be achieved in Nigeria.

Abstract Development of human capital is very important to any country's growth and sustainable Development because human beings are the agents who exploit natural resources, build economic, political organization and carry forward National Development. The Nigerian women are part of these human agents. For any visible National Development to take place, the women must be significant because they constitute a greater percentage of the Nigerian populace. The devastating impact of Depression among Women in this Recession time is alarming in Nigeria. Some of the victims have resulted in committing suicide. Depression is a prolonged emotional tone dominating an individual's outlook and mood. Depression can be a very serious burden on both the families of Women and the entire society. For attainment of National Development therefore, is a compelling urgency to curtail this pandemic. The paper offers insights of how Christian Religious Education can help which include faith in God, positive thinking which is important for over-all health than anything else. And that Christianity teaches values that promote less anxiety, specifically because the beliefs in Christianity run directly counter to the issues that cause Depression. The paper made some recommendations which include Religious Leaders Learning to engage depressed women and allow them to share their experiences. Also attention should be paid by the Government on the health of Women.

Abstract The question of “restructuring” for national development has taken
the central stage in the political, social and economic life of the
Nigeria nation. This question hangs on the understanding that
Nigeria as a nation is bedevilled with ethnic divisions occasioned by
distrust, suspicion and perceived marginalization. To this end,
arguments abound that the entity called Nigeria is not yet a nation but
a creation of the erstwhile colonial masters, to favour a particular
ethnic nationality. Restructuring therefore is perceived as the only
veritable solution to the problem of ethnic divisions in Nigeria, as this
would enhance sustainable national development. This research
submits that religious education is a fundamental key for
restructuring for the enhancement of national development that is
sustainable and enduring. It further proposes true Federalism as a
system of government that would work pari-pasu with religion to
achieve this goal of restructuring for sustainable development.

Abstract Peace and unity are the religious tenets necessary for coexistence in the family and society at large. There is no human family or society that worth the name if these religious tenets are missing. The idea of peace and unity necessarily implies the rights of the human person to live, move about and express himself unrestrained by any person, institution or law. This paper submitted that peace and unity in the family are ingredients for peace and unity in the wider society and concluded that every family should strive to entrench and practice these religious virtues.

Abstract Religion is a great force that can be used for human development for the benefit of the entire society if properly channeled. It is in this light that this paper discussed the concepts of religion and national security in Nigeria and concluded that religion is a veritable tool which could be used to foster national security and peaceful co-existence in the Nigerian nation. Security is a major prerogative of any responsible government. This is why the successive Nigerian governments since independence have tried to be committed to security of lives and property. It is imperatively necessary to note however that among other national challenges in Nigeria, security is one of the most pressing, for without it, lives and property are endangered, the economy crumbles, the socio-political integration of the nation is punctured and development in all its ramification is halted. The state of security in Nigeria is not only alarming but injurious to our social coexistence. The authors made use of research approach which relies on argumentation that adheres to the rule of logical syllogism to argue that religion is a tool which enhances national security, given its main aim, objective and focus. Religion has the roe of fostering unity in any nation because it links all to a common origin and ancestry, since it deals with the relationship between the human person and God. If religion preaches that God is the father of all, the implication is that all are brothers and sisters. This paper concluded by making useful recommendations accordingly.

Abstract The paper seeks to examine the stages and the prospects of globalization in the 21st centuries. This link can be seen in the examination of the role played by early explorers to the New World. The main thrust of this paper was to reveal how globalization started through the early voyages of exploration and colonization. To achieve this goal, the study relied hence scooped much of the data from secondary sources such as textbooks, internet materials, magazines, newspaper, journals, documents and records of incidences from Library, etc. The paper also analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of globalization. The study was anchored on the structural functionalism theory. The basic assumption of functionalist paradigm is mat society operates as a system (much-like the human body or system) made up of a variety of interrelated parts or structures, each of which performs one or several important social functions or meet vital social needs of the society. The paper posts that unless the uneven and unequal economic relationship between the North and the South is address or restructured, Africa will continue to experience developmental crisis.

Abstract Over the centuries, philosophical reflections have helped to engender developments in almost all facets of human existence. To this end human capital and sustainable developmental achievements recorded in human history have been to an appreciable extent accorded to philosophy. Philosophy itself, which is a product of wonder and reflections on the origin, meaning and goal of life has helped man to raise fundamental questions concerning his existence and the exigencies of his time. In an attempt to find answers to the fundamental questions generated in his "philosophical wonderment", man is able to develop ideas that later translated into developmental strides that have moved the world forward. This study sets out to determine the extent to which philosophy can engender sustainable development in Nigeria by critically examining the nexus between philosophy and sustainable development This is based on the assumption mat many of Ate developmental strides in Nigeria have not been able to yield the desired result, because such moves "neglected" or undervalued philosophical thoughts in governance, public policy making and implementation. The study analyzes the role of philosophical reflections in sustainable development and recommends that it could do same to solve Nigeria's underdeveloprnent problem.
